Through our Pro Bono Scheme, we provide free legal services to individuals who cannot afford legal representation. This initiative has led to some of our most rewarding work, contributing to the development of vital jurisprudence that upholds the rights of disadvantaged groups in Nigeria.
Our Pro Bono services cover a wide range of matters, including criminal defence for indigent inmates awaiting trial, matrimonial proceedings, cases of domestic violence, child defilement and custody disputes, as well as land-related issues, among others.
Beneficiaries of the scheme include indigent, marginalized, and vulnerable individuals. We also collaborate with organizations that promote the welfare of women, children, and persons with disabilities.
Cases are referred to the us from various sources such as the Nigerian Prison Service, Nigerian Police Force, Domestic and Sexual Violence Response Team, Office of the Public Defender, Directorate of Citizens' Rights, Public Advice Centre, and walk-in clients.
